We all forget things. Even passwords. Passwords can sometimes be hard to keep track of if you have many online accounts and services. You computer password can be one of the most important ones you have to remember. If you have ever forgotten your Windows password, you may have thought that there was no way to recover it, until now. iAidsoft Windows Password Recovery is a program to help you remove the password on your computer if you ever forgot it. This program can be a life saver if you have important documents, photos, or any kind of file that you cannot afford lose.
The program at initial starup has a very colorful graphical interface. You can see all the features of the program right off the bat. You can see that there are two methods to recover your Windows password. The first option is to use a CD. The program will burn an image to a CD to be able to remove the Windows password. Burning a disk is very simple with the help of this program. It took me about 30 seconds to finish burning the disk. The process was very smooth with no problems.
After the buring process has finished, you will have to change the BIOS settings in the computer. The process may be a bit confusing to novice users but the results are very rewarding. The process or removing the Windows password requires you to change the boot settings to boot from the CD-Rom instead of the hard drive. This process varies from computer to computer, but on my PC it was fairly simple. After changing the boot settings, I went through a series of steps in the program to select which directory and user to remove the password from. After my selections were made, the program immediately removed the password and asked if I would like to remove a password from another user. Having only one user on my PC, I restarted and I booted up my computer to find that the password had, in fact, been removed. The process was flawless and worked perfectly.
The USB burning process was almost identical to the CD burning process. The only difference was the burning program to actually burn the .iso file to the USB was different. Other than the burning process, the BIOS setting was easy for me to change and the burning process was smooth. The only thing that you have to be carful with the USB burning process is that the program will format your USB drive. So be sure to back up your files before burning the .iso. The most important part to this program is following directions. The author of the software made a very easy tutorial on how to actually boot from the CD/USB, so be sure to read it.
All in All
The program is a great tool to help remove the password from your system if you ever forget. The only negative side to the program is having to going into your computer's BIOS setting to change the first boot device. As I have said in the review, it may not be something a novice user would feel confortable doing, and it varies from all computers. For me on the other hand, it was easy and simple. I also have to say that the program has a nice graphical interface and easy to follow detailed instruction on how to change the boot settings. The program though does have a few grammatical errors, but over all, I thing the program deserves 5 stars out of 5. The price is resonable at 19.99 instead of paying expensive tech support to just reset your windows password.
